What can I sell through Global Market Connection?
Items must be legal to sell on
eBay and have an estimated eBay value of at least $50.
How long will my listings
last?
Global Market Connection chooses the optimal
method for selling your item. On items that are
in high demand, we usually recommend an auction ranging
from one to ten days. On items with limited demand
or specialty items, we use a Fixed Price Listing with
a Best Offer Feature. This guarantees that we achieve
the highest price for your item.
Will my item be safe?
Global Market Connection maintains a monitored
alarm and surveillence system and your items are insured
for their fair market value.
How can I check the status
of my item?
You can log into your account at any time by going
to our home page, clicking on Account Log In, and entering
the required information. This will bring up
your account page with detailed account information
including the current status of all items given to
us, sold and unsold items, and checks that have been
issued. You will also receive emails when your
items have been listed and when the listing ends, letting
you know whether a sale took place.
What if my item doesn't
sell?
Global Market Connection will continue to
market your item until it sells, you choose to pick
it up, or we deem that the marketplace doesn't have
an interest at the current time. On smaller items
that complement our retail offerings, we will display
them in the store and place them in our eBay store
for additional exposure. On items that become
obsolete or have lost their appeal in the marketplace,
we will send you an email and regular letter informing
you that the item has not sold and needs to be picked
up within two weeks of receipt of the letter.
After two weeks, we will send
out a certified letter indicating if we do not hear
from you within the next two weeks, items will be disposed
of at the discretion of management. Items tha
can satisfy a need will be donated to Goodwill, the
Salvation Army, or MADD. Items that are obsolete
and have no value will be taken to the Transfer Station
and properly recycled to maintain our mission of promoting
a green environment.
When can I expect to receive my check?
Global Market Connection issues checks within
30-45 days of the the closing date of the sale. If
the buyer leaves us Positive Feedback on the item after
receipt, our software will cycle the payment process
early. Please note that there are occassions where
a delay in receipt of payment from the buyer can delay
your payment.
Setting A Starting Price
Global
Market Connection discourages setting a high opening bid. This
reduces bidding activity and usually results in a lower Final
Value price on the item. We will
run an auction at your request with a higher opening minimum
price or reserve price for an additional fee. This fee
is refunded if the item sells.
In the above scenario, Global Market
Connection would recommend a Fixed Price Listing. There
are no upfront fees and we have the ability to adjust the price
according to buyer feedback and your decision of what offers
to accept.
